About

Behind the camera

I’m Michelle — a freelance landscape and wildlife photographer based in the Hudson Valley. For more than a decade I’ve chased thin light across mountain ranges, coastlines, and quiet forests, waiting hours for a single frame that says something true about a place.

My work has appeared in national parks publications and private collections, but it starts the same way every time: patience, respect for the subject, and a belief that the wild world is worth slowing down for.

When I’m not in the field, I’m planning the next trip — scouting new terrain, building my print archive, and learning to read the light a little better each season.

Testimonials

Kind words

“She waited three days on a single storm break over the fjord. When the light finally came, the print she made of it now hangs above our fireplace.”

Hannah & Tom Berger

Print collector, Lofoten, Norway

“We licensed three of her landscape prints for our headquarters. Guests stop in the lobby and just stand there looking at them.”

Priya Natarajan

Fine-art commission, Boston MA

“We asked Michelle to photograph the ridge above our family camp. The print she brought back is the first thing our kids point to.”

The Okafor Family

Personal commission, Grand Teton NP
